Dear Tomsett Community,

It is with mixed feelings that I inform you that after six wonderful years at Tomsett, I have been reassigned to A.B. Dixon Elementary school beginning July 1, 2024.  I have been fortunate to be part of this community this long – most principals are moved every three to five years.  While it is never easy to say goodbye, I know that it is the right time for me to take on a new challenge.

During our time together, we have achieved a great deal.  The Tomsett I inherited from Mr. Unger in 2018 was vastly different than the place we have today.  What has remained constant are the wonderful students, staff, and families who call this community “home”.

I am honoured to have worked with talented and caring educators, who put their everything into making sure that our children learn and grow.  The staff that work at Tomsett are some of the very best that I have had the privilege of working with during my career.

Ms. Kirsten Wallace, the current principal at A.B. Dixon will be starting at Tomsett, with Mrs. Lang, on July 1, 2024.  I know that she too will bring her own gifts to the school, continuing to move this community forward into the future.

I hope that our paths will cross many times in the future.
